ThriveFit®: Personalised self-awareness tool built into your provision.
ThriveFit® is a strengths, values and career environment assessment tool, helping young people to understand what they are good at, what is important to them and what career environment might suit them best. Perfect for when they are considering subject choices, work experience options and future career pathways.
For secondary Schools, Colleges, Universities and youth organisations · works alongside your existing careers programme.
A self-awareness foundation under the rest of your careers work.
In about 10–15 minutes, each young person works through a set of questions and receives their own personalised report. The adult supporting them gets a short guide too. By the time they are considering options, work experience or 1:1s, you already have a cohort you actually understand.
Know each young person, at scale
An individual profile of strengths, values and ideal career environment for everyone in the year group, without adding face-to-face hours you don't have.
Better subject & pathway choices
Young people connect options to who they are, so curriculum and pathway decisions are made with reasons, and you can evidence that link.
Work experience that lands
Self-awareness going in means work experience / part time jobs are chosen and approached with intent, turning time out of school into a meaningful encounter.
Warm-start personal guidance
Advisers open every 1:1 already knowing the young person, so the time goes on career coaching, guidance and not groundwork.
Parents brought in
Each profile comes with a Support Guide, giving you a ready-made way to engage parents and carers in their young person's choices.
Evidence for your programme
A consistent, documented activity across the cohort that supports your benchmark reporting and shows impact at inspection.
You're expected to personalise careers guidance for every young person, with the time and budget of one team.
The updated Gatsby Benchmarks raise the bar: tailored support for each individual, choices linked to who they are, work experience that actually means something, and parents brought into the picture. ThriveFit® is the piece that makes all of that possible without adding to your workload.
Addressing the needs of each young person
One careers lead can't sit down with every student often enough to really know them. An individual profile for everyone in the cohort gives you that insight without the hours.
Linking curriculum learning to careers
Young people pick subjects based on grades or friends, with little sense of their own strengths. ThriveFit® connects options to who they actually are, so choices come with reasons.
Experiences of workplaces
Self-awareness before work experience helps young people choose well and prepare, so the experience is genuinely meaningful.
Personal guidance
Advisers spend the first half of a 1:1 just working out who's in front of them. Every session starts with a rich, ready-made starting point, so the time goes on guidance, not groundwork.
Plus the 2024 update's new emphasis on 'engaging parents and carers': every profile is sent with a Support Guide built to support those conversations at home. ThriveFit complements your stable careers programme, employer encounters and labour-market work. It doesn't replace them.
The Gatsby Benchmarks are published by the Gatsby Charitable Foundation; ThriveFit is an independent product and is not endorsed by or affiliated with Gatsby.
Designed for teams that don't have spare capacity
ThriveFit® is designed to add as little as possible to your team's workload. Nothing to install, no training session needed and nothing to mark. If you can share a code with a group, you're ready to go.
Start small or start ready
Try it free with one student, or get codes for a whole cohort. Nothing to install and nothing to set up.
Fit it into what already happens
A tutor period, a careers lesson or at home. Each young person uses their code and answers honestly for about 15 minutes.
See where everyone's up to
Your dashboard quietly keeps count, so you know who might need a nudge before options evening. No chasing, no spreadsheets.
However your day already works
There's no fixed way to run it. Pick whatever fits your timetable and your cohort, and mix and match across year groups.
In tutor time
Hand the codes to tutors and let each form work through their profiles together in a tutor period. One adult, a whole group, about 30 minutes. Done.
As homework
Set it as homework on the platform you already use. Young people complete their profile at home, in their own time.
In a careers lesson or 1:1
Drop it into a careers lesson, or send a code ahead of a one-to-one so the adviser already knows the young person before they sit down.
Evidence it in Compass+, without the extra admin
Your dashboard keeps a live record of who has completed their profile and when. Download it as a spreadsheet and log the activity against the Gatsby Benchmarks in Compass+, or in whatever tracker you already keep. Tutor sessions, careers lessons and one-to-ones, all accounted for.
Compass+ is provided by The Careers & Enterprise Company. ThriveFit® is an independent product and isn't affiliated with it.
ThriveFit® works alongside the careers provision you already have, giving every young person a starting point for the conversations you're already running.
Ready-made resources to help teachers in tutor time, and to build the profiles into a full programme over time.

Questions schools ask
Does ThriveFit replace our careers programme?
No, and it isn't meant to. ThriveFit is a self-awareness tool that strengthens the benchmarks where knowing each young person matters: 3, 4, 6 and 8, plus the new focus on parents and carers. It sits alongside your stable programme, employer encounters and guidance.
How do young people complete it, and where?
However suits you. Run it in a tutor period, build it into a careers lesson, set it as homework on Google Classroom, Microsoft Teams or Satchel One, or use a code ahead of a one-to-one. Each young person completes their profile in about 15 minutes.
Can we evidence it for Compass+ and inspection?
Yes. Your dashboard shows who has completed their profile and when, and you can download it as a spreadsheet to log the activity against the Gatsby Benchmarks in Compass+ or your own tracker. It gives you a consistent, documented activity across the cohort.
Is student data handled safely?
Yes. ThriveFit is built to UK and EU data-protection standards and each profile belongs to the young person. We're happy to share our privacy documentation and a data-processing agreement for your records.
Can we trial it first?
Yes. Start with a free trial: you'll get one free profile to try it out and see the Support Guide before committing to a cohort.
